THE OFFICE BREAKROOM STAPLE
Here’s a simple 5-step guide for brewing drip coffee
WHAT YOU NEED
Drip Coffee Maker (See Jerry’s Recommendation List)
Coffee Grinder (Or pre-ground medium beans)
Coffee Filters (paper or reusable)
Digital Scale (optional, for precise measurements)
Kettle (if your machine doesn't heat water automatically)
Cup
MEASUREMENTS
Grinded Coffee (g): We recommend a 17:1 water-to-coffee ratio (about 10g of coffee for every 6 oz cup of water).
Roast: Light roasts are recommended for the drip method to highlight bright and nuanced flavors.
Grind Size: Medium-coarse for optimal extraction and a balanced brew.
Recommended Roast Date: Best enjoyed right after roasting, with peak freshness lasting up to 30 days.
How to Brew the Perfect Drip Coffee
Step 1 :
MEASURE & GRIND
Start with freshly ground coffee beans. Use 1 to 2 tablespoons of coffee for every 6 ounces of water. Opt for a medium grind for the best extraction.
Step 2:
LOAD THE FILTER
Place a clean coffee filter in your drip coffee maker’s basket. Add your measured coffee grounds evenly into the filter.
Step 3:
ADD WATER
Fill your machine’s water reservoir with clean, filtered water. The water-to-coffee ratio should match your coffee measurement (e.g., 12 ounces of water for 2 tablespoons of coffee).
Step 4:
BREW
Turn on your drip coffee maker and let it do the work! Brewing typically takes 5 to 10 minutes, depending on the machine and the quantity of coffee.
Step 5:
ENJOY
Once the coffee is brewed, pour yourself a cup and enjoy immediately for the freshest flavour!
