AEROPRESS GUIDE
Here’s a simple 6-step guide for AeroPress coffee.
WHAT YOU NEED
AeroPress (with plunger and filter cap)
Coffee Grinder (or pre-ground coffee)
Paper or Metal Filter (specific to AeroPress)
Digital Scale
Kettle
Cup
MEASUREMENTS
Coffee (g): 14-18g (adjust based on strength preference)
Water (ml): About 200-250 ml (for a 1:14 to 1:16 coffee-to-water ratio)
Grind Size: Medium-fine, similar to table salt
Brew Time: Approximately 2-3 minutes.
Recommended Roast Date: For AeroPress coffee, use beans that are 5-14 days post-roast for optimal flavor and aroma. This allows the coffee to degas while maintaining a fresh taste.
How to Brew the Perfect AeroPress Coffee
Step 1 :
MEASURE & GRIND
Begin by measuring 14-18g of coffee and grind the beans to a medium-fine consistency, similar to table salt.
Step 2:
PREPARE THE FILTER
Place a paper or metal filter in the filter cap of the AeroPress and rinse it with hot water. This helps eliminate any paper taste and preheats the AeroPress.
Step 3:
ADD COFFEE GROUNDS
Add the ground coffee to the AeroPress chamber, making sure to distribute it evenly for consistent extraction.
Step 4:
ADD HOTER WATER
Pour hot water (around 200°F/93°C) over the coffee grounds, saturating them evenly. Allow the coffee to steep for about 30 seconds.
Step 5:
STIR & BREW
After the steeping time, gently stir the mixture to ensure all grounds are fully saturated. Then, attach the plunger and press down slowly for about 30 seconds until you hear a hissing sound.
Step 6:
ENJOY
Once the brewing is complete, pour your coffee into a cup and enjoy the rich, smooth flavor that the AeroPress offers!
